Single parent family campsites in France
For single parents finding a holiday destination can be an obstacle course! For campers, let's be clear right away, Familytrip doesn't have any campsites reserved exclusively for single-parent families. It's true that we have organised evenings with single parents in the past: for example, the famous So'Love evening in Normandy on 14 February. We don't organise this type of evening at our campsites. One good reason is that we would have to organise them in July/August during the very high season and it is complicated to privatise a campsite at this time of year. On the other hand, most of our campsites have special offers for single parents.
Solo parents offers at Familytrip
You're familiar with our offer in holiday villages and hotel clubs where we offer the child discount from the first adult. Hotel financial models usually require 2 paying adults and therefore exclude single parents. For campsites, we offer single-parent deals, but if you're only travelling with one adult and one child, there are no mobile homes for 2 people. The holiday village or hotel club offers will therefore be cheaper for you, plus you'll have meals included with at least half board or even full board.
Whether you live in Paris, Nantes, Lyon or Marseille, we know that getting to the campsite can be complicated as the majority of single parents in these cities don't have a car. That's why we've selected campsites that are easily accessible by public transport and have all the amenities nearby. This is our "Car-free stay" filter, which you can activate at any time on our page above.
Whether you live in Strasbourg, Bordeaux or Clermont-Ferrand, you own a car but don't want to drive too far: too many kilometres can be expensive for the wallet and you're only one driver. We've selected campsites all over France and as close as possible to where you live, so you can get away from it all and enjoy a change of scenery without breaking the bank. If you live in Luxembourg, it's easier to go to Strasbourg or to the heart of the Vosges than to the edge of the Atlantic Ocean in Nantes or, even worse, to the coast of Bordeaux! For Paris, it's also very expensive to go down in search of the Mediterranean sun, but we have a few tricks up our sleeves, once you've made the trip, to keep costs down on the spot: cycle paths or free parking to get to the beach, travel dates from Sunday to Sunday (fewer people on the roads and therefore less petrol consumed) , departure date at the end of August rather than the beginning.
Facilities and services at campsites for single-parent families
Our campsites are rather family-friendly and not too expensive. Most are 3-star, so they don't have a spa or golf course, but they do have facilities that are more useful to single parents: play area, swimming pool, paddling pool, kids' clubs.... Find the campsite for your family holiday using our filters. look at the salient info in the highlights next to the photos and let us guide you through to payment.
On the payment page you can even deduct your VACAF aid if you have one. But be careful, you need to have selected a labelled destination. On this page, please note that dates are entered by default: don't hesitate to indicate the dates of your trip. You will maximise your chances of having availability in high season by entering dates from Saturday to Saturday or Sunday to Sunday. In both cases, this means 8 days / 7 nights, or one week, as most campsites use these dates to optimise occupancy and avoid having gaps of varying length in their accommodation schedule. This optimises and facilitates the running of the entertainment and children's clubs (for the weekend show in particular!).
Finally Familytrip refers many partners for activities on site or near the campsite. Activities may be pre-bookable to benefit from a special rate (for holiday participants only), but all the essential information will be summarised on your trip report.
Familytrip also refers to a number of partners for activities on site or close to the campsite.
