Batz-sur-Mer, a charming commune on the Guérande peninsula, is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean and offers a picturesque setting with wild beaches, salt marshes and traditional Breton villages. The beaches of Valentin and Saint-Michel are ideal for swimming, surfing and fishing at low tide. The famous Guérande salt marshes, still in operation, produce the famous Guérande salt and can be visited on a guided tour, as can the Salt Marsh Museum. The sentier des Douaniers (GR34) offers walkers spectacular views of the Côte Sauvage, and nearby Guérande and Le Croisic, with its Océarium, are must-sees for nature and history lovers.

Positive points:

"La proximité avec la mer, le calme. Les balades le soir sur la plage. La vue de notre studio. Les balades à pied jusqu'au Croisic. Le petit déjeuné sur la terrasse en regardant la mer."

Areas for improvement :

"La literie désastreuse, la "vétusté" de certains équipements (canapé clic-clac, rideaux troués, douche). Point très important : sans véhicule point de salut."
