Saint-Trojan-les-Bains is a charming seaside resort on the island of Oléron. It is renowned for its fine sandy beaches, unspoilt natural environment and tranquil atmosphere, compared with some of the busier resorts on France's Atlantic coast... Families can enjoy cycling, walking and birdwatching. The Bois des Saumonards, a nature reserve, is a popular spot for nature lovers. In addition to the pleasures of the beach and nature, Saint-Trojan-les-Bains offers a variety of leisure activities. These include golf, tennis, horse riding and water sports such as sailing and surfing.

The town itself has a charm typical of French seaside resorts, with its white houses with colourful shutters, picturesque little streets and small markets. There are also historic sites such as Fort de Boyard just a few minutes away, famous for its appearance in a popular TV show.
