Gresse-en-Vercors is nestled in the heart of the Vercors massif, at an altitude of around 1,200 m. It's a mountain village, making it an ideal place for nature lovers and outdoor sports enthusiasts. The village offers a wide range of activities in all seasons. In winter, it is a popular destination for downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and other winter sports. Gresse-en-Vercors has a small, family-friendly ski resort, ideal for beginners and families. The slopes offer magnificent views of the surrounding mountains and are generally less crowded than the larger Alpine resorts. In summer, visitors can enjoy hiking, mountain biking, climbing, horse riding and other outdoor activities.

The surrounding area is one of great natural beauty, with spectacular landscapes of mountains, forests and alpine meadows. The Vercors Regional Nature Park is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, including protected species.
