You'll enjoy a campsite nestling in the heart of nature, between a spruce forest and a lake. At Lac de Villefort you'll be able to eat, relax, enjoy all kinds of indoor and outdoor activities, discover the region and wander to your heart's content.

Your stay will get off to a great start when you discover the accommodation you'll be staying in. There are several types of accommodation to choose from: comfortable mobile homes for 2 to 8 people, chalets and even unusual accommodation like the Wigwam! All the accommodation has a lovely shaded terrace.

Whatever your age or tastes, you won't be bored at Camping Lac de Villefort. There's an outdoor swimming pool where you can cool off or relax on a sun lounger. For sports enthusiasts, an outdoor fitness area awaits you.

In addition to these activities, there's a petanque pitch, table tennis tables and a play area. For hiking enthusiasts, the campsite is located at the entrance to the Régorane trail (GR700).

A special feature of the campsite is that it lies at the foot of the Lac de Villefort leisure centre! Open during the summer holidays, you can enjoy all kinds of activities here! Paddle, canoe, catamaran, water-ski, pedalo and much more... Courses and workshops are also available for adults and children. Fishing enthusiasts can also take advantage of the chalets available. Finally, the campsite is in partnership with Grandeur Nature, which offers activities in the surrounding area such as via ferrata, canyoning, climbing, etc.

The restaurant

On site, you can order delicious cooked dishes to take home with you! The food truck also offers themed meals and concerts, perfect for livening up your family dinners! Finally, for a gentle wake-up call, you can order bread and pastries from reception the day before.

Discover the region and family activities

Pourcharesses is a hamlet in the Lozère department, in the Occitanie region. It is part of the commune of Pied-de-Borne, in the south-east of the département, close to the Ardèche and Gard departments. Pourcharesses is particularly well known for its exceptional natural setting, right in the heart of the Cévennes, a mountainous and wooded region offering numerous opportunities for hiking and outdoor activities. Pourcharesses is close to the Cévennes National Park, a UNESCO-recognised biosphere reserve. The park is a haven for nature lovers, with exceptional biodiversity, varied landscapes ranging from deep gorges to high plateaux and dense forests. The Cévennes also boasts a rich cultural and rural history.

During your stay you can take the opportunity to discover the Château de Castanet, dating from the 16th century and situated near Lake Villefort. It has been restored and now houses an exhibition centre and museum dedicated to local history and the construction of the Villefort dam. Not far from Pourcharesses, the Chassezac gorges offer spectacular scenery and are a popular spot for activities such as climbing, canyoning and hiking. Thrill-seekers can explore the gorges by canoe or kayak. The area around Pourcharesses also boasts a number of typical Cévennes villages, including La Garde-Guérin, listed as one of France's most beautiful villages. This medieval village, perched on a plateau, offers breathtaking views of the Gorges du Chassezac! There's so much to discover with the whole family!
