Discover the Domaine de Saint-Amand, located in the Périgord Noir region, just a few kilometres from Sarlat! It's the ideal place for an authentic, green holiday to discover the region, its culture and its gastronomy!

Discover the site

The Domaine is set on a hill between the Vézère and Dordogne valleys, in an exceptional setting. On site, you'll find top-quality facilities and services: a pool area suitable for both young children and adults, a bistro, a bar, a grocery shop where you can discover delicious local specialities, a vegetable garden, and a host of activities for young and old alike.

Built in the tradition of Périgord architecture, Domaine de Saint-Amand covers around 12 hectares. This former farmhouse, which has been completely renovated, offers a warm welcome, a serene atmosphere and a return to its roots, inspired by the tranquillity of this forgotten countryside. The estate is pedestrianised to ensure the safety of youngsters and animals alike. You'll be staying in one of 55 comfortable, light-filled wooden houses, fully equipped to make you feel like you're in a cocoon! Each accommodation has its own intimate space, enhanced by undulating terrain and surrounded by a variety of trees. Nearly 800 trees have been planted in the Pinède, Clairière, Vallon and Chênaie areas.

For those who just want to relax, you can also book a relaxing massage, a moment out of time just for you...

For a change of pace, there's a children's play area, a petanque pitch, a Mölkky, table tennis tables and a football pitch. Animal lovers can meet the animals on site. Children can help feed the animals in the mornings if they wish. Finally, young and old alike can help in the vegetable garden, watering, harvesting, etc.

Children can take part in the club organised by the estate's activity leader. Children can take part in all kinds of activities (feeding the animals, pottery, prehistoric painting, treasure hunts, etc.). For all the family, creative and well-being workshops and courses (yoya, ceramics, etc.) are also available. A chance to let your imagination and creativity run riot and relax.

The restaurant

During your stay, you can sample delicious Périgord specialities directly at the Bistrot du Domaine. It welcomes you from breakfast to dinner, and a bar is also available for your aperitifs. If you prefer to stay with your family in your wooden house, the Domaine offers a range of takeaway jars.

Discover the region and family activities

Saint-Amand-de-Coly is a charming village in the Dordogne department, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. It is renowned for its picturesque setting and rich historical heritage. The village is best known for its fortified abbey, considered to be one of the most beautiful fortified churches in Périgord. Built in the 12th and 13th centuries, it bears witness to the region's rich medieval past. Surrounded by lush green hills and forests, Saint-Amand-de-Coly offers numerous walking trails to explore the natural beauty of the Dordogne. The River Coly flows through the village, adding to its bucolic charm and providing opportunities for relaxation and outdoor recreation. The region is famous for its rich and delicious Périgord gastronomy. As well as hiking, the region offers activities such as canoeing, horse-riding, and discovering famous caves and prehistoric sites in the nearby Vézère valley.

Just a few kilometres from Saint-Amand-de-Coly, you'll find the famous Lascaux caves, a prehistoric site world-famous for its cave paintings dating back more than 17,000 years. You can also visit Montignac, a charming little town on the banks of the Vézère with half-timbered houses and markets. Montignac is the ideal starting point for a visit to Lascaux. Finally, don't miss the Musée de la Préhistoire in Les Eyzies, another exciting activity to enjoy with children.
