The Domaine de La Paille Basse is a vast wooded estate located in Souillac, in the Lot department. It stretches along the crest of a hill at an altitude of 250 metres. At the heart of the forest are three former medieval farmhouses, which have been fully restored in keeping with the architecture of the period.

These buildings now house the complex's various services and facilities, with top-quality modern amenities guaranteeing residents comfort and well-being. You'll find a bar/restaurant, a grocery shop, a water park, a disco, a laundry and a range of activities for all the family.

You'll be staying in one of the chalets, mobile homes, coco sweet or glamping tents, for a guaranteed holiday experience. The accommodation is all situated in the shade of trees in the heart of a peaceful, green setting. They are all equipped with a kitchen, bedrooms, a shower room and an outdoor area with garden furniture.

The Domaine has a beautiful water park that will delight young and old alike. There are 3 pools, 2 of which are heated, with a 4-lane waterslide and plenty of sun loungers and parasols.

Many other activities are available on site (tennis, basketball, volleyball, football, pétanque, children's playground, games room with pool table, pinball machine, TV room, etc.).

Let your children have fun at the kids' club, where 4-12 year-olds will be welcomed like royalty! Organised games, mini disco, creative workshops, treasure hunts... For all the family, sports tournaments are organised, outdoor team games, canoeing trips, evening shows and games, aquagym, muscle toning and lots of other surprises... And to keep you entertained all night long, there's a disco waiting for you!

The restaurant

To make your meals easier and to spend a convivial moment, you will have the opportunity to go to the estate's brasserie snack bar, where you can eat with your children. On the terrace or indoors, and even to take away!

Discover the region and family activities

Souillac is a small town in the Lot department in south-west France. It is nestled in the Dordogne valley, close to the river of the same name, and offers a picturesque setting with lush green landscapes and limestone cliffs. Souillac is also famous for its traditional market held every Friday morning, offering locals and visitors alike the chance to discover local produce such as foie gras, truffles and wines from the region. As well as the market, the town is home to a variety of shops, restaurants and cafés where you can sample the local cuisine. Outdoor enthusiasts will find plenty to do in the area around Souillac. The Dordogne valley offers hiking, kayaking and canoeing along the river, as well as rock climbing for the more adventurous. The prehistoric caves of Lacave and Cougnac, with their cave paintings and spectacular geological formations, are also well worth a visit.

Souillac is also an ideal base for exploring the Lot's picturesque surroundings, including the medieval villages of Rocamadour, listed as one of France's most beautiful villages, and Saint-Cirq-Lapopie, perched on a cliff overlooking the Lot. The region is also renowned for its vineyards, châteaux and prehistoric sites, offering visitors a multitude of cultural and gastronomic experiences to discover.
