Head for the green Périgord at Les Gorges du Chambon campsite! Set in lush green surroundings on the banks of the river Tardoire and the Perigord-Limousin Regional Nature Park. There's no doubt about it, you'll enjoy a relaxing and discovery-filled holiday on the edge of the Dordogne. You'll be 31 km from Angoulême, 72 km from Périgueux and 80 km from Limoges!

Discover the area

The campsite extends over 27 hectares planted with trees and shrubs. The emphasis is on preserving nature and respecting the environment. You'll find all the main facilities on site to ensure you have an excellent stay: restaurant, bar, pool area, car park, grocery shop and launderette.

You'll stay in comfortable accommodation, all with air conditioning and a terrace to soak up the sun. The accommodation is spaced far enough apart to give you as much peace and privacy as possible. Situated in the middle of the trees, you can breathe in the fresh air and listen to the birds sing.

Every self-respecting campsite has to have a swimming pool, doesn't it? Don't worry! This is obviously the case at Les Gorges du Chambon. There's a heated swimming pool, a heated paddling pool and a waterslide to keep the kids happy! Deckchairs and parasols are available by the pool for your afternoon sunbathing.

The campsite also offers a wide range of activities. You won't know where to turn! Here's a non-exhaustive list of the activities you'll find on site: multi-sports pitch, tennis court, boules pitch, mini golf, trampoline, table tennis, badminton, beach volleyball, bouncy castle and many more... A dream location indeed.

As well as all these superb activities, you'll also have the chance to enrol your children aged 6 to 12 in the Bungat club. They'll even have the honour of meeting Bungat in person! Sports and fun activities during the day and evening await them, as well as lots of other surprises.

The restaurant

The campsite has a bar for refreshments throughout the day, a restaurant for delicious dinners and a snack bar for meals on the go! Fresh bread is available for breakfast.

Discover the region and family activities

The campsite's location in the Charente and at the gateway to the Dordogne gives you easy access to the tourist sites of both regions. Castles, caves, picturesque villages... Sites not to be missed include the Château de Puyguilhem, 20 minutes' drive away, the famous Villars caves, 50 minutes away, and the town of Brantôme, also known as the Venice of Périgord, 30 minutes' drive away... Last but not least, there are the sites of the Charente region to discover, such as the Château de La Rochefoucauld, 25 minutes away, and the town of Angoulême, famous for its comic strip festival, 50 minutes away. Nearby, you can also enjoy canoeing on the River Tardoire, tree climbing and horse riding! For the more adventurous, the ocean is just a 2-hour drive from the campsite. For those with a sweet tooth, be sure to try the delicious regional specialities.

    "Un camping qui vaut le détour ! Super accueil, un cadre somptueux avec de grands espaces. Le mobile home était climatisé et moderne. Nous avons beaucoup aimé les activités. Et surtout quel calme !!!"
