Located in southern Ardèche, the Escapade Le Casque Roi campsite invites you to enjoy a family holiday in a friendly atmosphere just 10 minutes' drive from the famous Pont d'Arc at the gateway to the Ardèche Gorges Nature Reserve.

The campsite is 300m from a river. The mobile homes have terraces with tables and chairs and air conditioning inside for optimum comfort.

There are a number of services on site to keep you entertained, as well as basic facilities such as laundry, Wi-Fi access and a communal barbecue.

The outdoor heated swimming pool is an ideal place to relax. It is surrounded by nature, with deckchairs and parasols providing natural shade thanks to the vegetation. The small fountain adds a gentle sound that helps you relax.

The little ones can have fun in the children's play area, which has a sand floor, a swing and an adventure course with a slide. And for all the family, there are petanque, football and basketball courts, as well as table football. If you like sport and don't want to lose the good habits, there is weight training equipment.

The restaurant

A snack bar is open throughout the season, with wood-fired pizza and ice creams.

Discover the region and family activities

Explore the many wonders of the region on foot, horseback or by bike. You can also go climbing or canyoning. There are plenty of places to visit close to the campsite. The village of Rochecolombe, 15km away, is an old medieval village with the chapel of Saint Barthélémy. You'll find waterfalls and the belvedere of the old castle from which you'll have a breathtaking view.

The Pont d'Arc, with its fine sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters, is an ideal spot for swimming in a breathtaking setting. Then there's the Grotte Chauvet, with its frescoes dating back 36,000 years. Then there's the Aven d'Orgnac cave, where you can admire superb stalactites and stalagmites at a depth of 121 metres!
