You can reach the Ile de Ré via a bridge, located around ten kilometres from the centre of La Rochelle. Saint-Clément-des Baleines is the most westerly village on the Ile de Ré. Famous for its listed lighthouse, it is bordered by a large beach ideal for fishing.

Discover the area

La Plage campsite**** is 300 m from the beach. It has 80 mobile homes and a wide range of facilities: reception, swimming pool, playground, restaurant and car park.

The campsite's heated outdoor swimming pool is a must during your holiday. Your little ones can also enjoy safe swimming in the paddling pool next to the main pool.

Children can meet up with their holiday friends at the kids' club. Here they will be supervised by activity leaders and can have fun in the cookery workshop, make things in the creative workshops and have fun in the sports tournaments. Last but not least, the playground will be the perfect place for them to invent new adventures with their feet in the sand.

And let's not forget the grown-ups! For adults, there are various activities on offer during the day, including aquagym, sports activities and pétanque. Regular events include karaoke, dance evenings and aperitif games.

The restaurant

La Plage campsite has a snack restaurant. You can enjoy your meals here all day long. You can relax on the restaurant terrace and enjoy the carefully prepared dishes: mignardises, crêpes...

Discover the region and family activities

Take the time to cycle around the Ile de Ré. With 140km of cycle paths, it's the perfect playground for discovering the island's 10 villages at your leisure. There are plenty of water sports on offer, including sailing, paddle-boarding, towed buoys and surfing. If you prefer to stay on land, don't miss the whale lighthouse, the Vauban fortifications or the salt marshes.

Head to La Rochelle to visit the old town and its port. The La Rochelle aquarium is a must for lovers of marine life, where you can see over 600 species and 12,000 marine animals.

    Positive points:

    "Proximité de la mer, la piscine, les restrictions d'horaires pour la circulation des véhicules, le dépôt de pain."

    Areas for improvement :

    "Quand on vend une prestation avec club ado et que celle ci est annulée on attend à minima d'être informée puis des excuses...organiser une seule rencontre entre ado c'était possible pour compenser. Tables de ping pong à disposition...pas vraiment et surtout pas entreposée de 14h à 18h et entre le pédiluve, l'entrée de l'épicerie et celle du restaurant. Bungalow trop proches, on entendait les dés d'une partie de Yams dans le bungalow derrière le nôtre Plus de 2h30 d'attente pour le renouvellement de la bouteille de gaz... Épicerie extrêmement chère...c'est une arnaque ... matelas durs ...salle de sport image. Équipements moyens avec horaires pas adaptés aux sportifs....bref ça vaut vraiment pas le niveau de service d'un 4 étoiles... famille "
