Sablé sur Sarthe will be your starting point for navigating the Mayenne and/or the Sarthe. Between them, these two rivers offer more than 250 km of navigable waterways. These are rivers reserved exclusively for pleasure boating. They border some truly remarkable villages, châteaux and mills. It's a chance to travel and discover these centuries-old places in a whole new way. The departure point is just 3 hours from Paris.

Discover the sites

Boat hire without a licence is perfectly suited to families. It's all about safety! As well as lifejackets suitable for everyone, all the boats are equipped with double railings, bathing ladders and handrails so you can move around the boat in complete safety. All the boats are equipped with an anchor, fire extinguishers, a boat hook, a foghorn, fenders, a first-aid kit and a crown buoy.

When you arrive, we'll give the boat's captain a yachting card and give him or her a personalised demonstration: an introduction to the river code and the principles of navigation, a demonstration of how the controls work and an introductory course. The boats have cabins as well as a living area with a fully equipped kitchen and shower rooms.

Discover the region and family activities

During your boating holiday, you'll be able to enjoy a wide range of activities. If you like cycling, explore the local cycle paths or take the scenic routes. If you prefer to sample the local specialities, discover the local cuisine by visiting the restaurants and cafés in the area.

The rivers you'll be navigating are a fisherman's paradise. They are renowned for the quality and variety of their fish. You can also enjoy water sports such as canoeing and kayaking.
